My 1st Day In the OR

Wow -- today was a long day! It started at 0645 this morning and went until 1745 tonight. It was my first day in the OR and I participated in 8 cases. Let me say this -- putting people to sleep is a lot harder than it sounds! Anyway -- just thought I'd post a few pics...enjoy!

More Promised Cruise Pics...

So as promised -- here are the rest of the cruise pics...well, not the rest -- it was narrowed down from 250+ pictures!! These first pics are from breakfast at the airport before taking off and obviously from the air -- I get light-headed just looking at those!

The island of Key West, FL

Our shore excursion (snorkeling) was cancelled in Key West due to some bad weather, so we visited a shipwreck museum, an aquarium and did some sight seeing.

There were roosters/chickens everywhere -- and this is normal!!

Goofy casino pictures -- notice that these were taken when the casino was closed. (Don't worry, dad knows all about it!)

Nassau Bahamas and Paradise Island

In the Bahamas, we visited the Atlantis resort first -- which was BEAUTIFUL! And next we went snorkeling -- with no nets and sharks everywhere!! Not really, but I was still just as scared!! It's the whole "dun-nuh, dun-nuh" thing that gets me every time!

We had a blast!! It's off to Mexico this summer and a European tour next year!!

Dr. Zachary Barnes

So tonight when putting Zachary to bed -- he decided to play doctor on Nathan using his new toy set from Aunt Maggie and Uncle Brandon -- it was hilarious! And ofcourse, the mom and scrapbooker in me went straight for the camera. Some of these pics I am sure will show up again when he gets in high school -- he is too cute.

And this one is my favorite -- notice how focused he is in trying to find a heartbeat in Petey -- great job Zachary! But here is one hint -- from experience, it helps to put the stethoscope IN your ears!!! I love him!
