Happy Easter!

 

Easter morning was eventful as usual.  I wasn’t sure if I was gonna make it to all the festivities because I found out on Saturday morning that I had strep again.  But I took a huge shot in my hip for my family and we pressed on!  :)  (At least with pediatrics we add lidocaine to those B-Cillin shots!! OUCH!)  The morning started with Easter bags this year.  Obviously our Easter Bunny is a Thirty-One fan!  And then we made it to church on Sunday morning and had a great service and despite my sore throat, I was able to sing in the cantata without a hitch!  After that we spent the afternoon at Granny Hudson’s house for more family time and egg hunts!!  It was very cold and rainy during the egg hunt – but the kids just rolled up their britches and went out anyway!!  I stayed on the porch and took pictures!  What a wonderful day to spend time with family.

Easter with Zachary

 

Right after Eli’s party we all headed up to the Elementary School for Zachary’s party and egg hunt.  Zachary was so fast this year that I barely got any pictures of him in action.  He was determined to win the “Most Eggs Collected” prize – which he did.  I think he collected over 40 eggs or something like that.  I also learned this year that we are getting too old for Easter “baskets” which is why you see him collecting eggs in his UT cinch sac.  Boys…..  Anyway, Eli dazzled the room after the hunt as usual with his spunky personality.  And Tyler walked around and gave everyone his sweet “please give me a piece of candy” smile and racked up too!

Preschool Easter Party & Egg Hunt ~ March 2013

 

Tyler and I headed to Eli’s preschool for his Easter Egg hunt and party.  It was FREEZING that day but the kids had a great time.  The good thing is that this is the first year in a while that I didn’t have to worry about the Easter candy melting before I got back home!

After a weekend of fevers at the Barnes home, it's good to see these little ones eating!!

It's the little things I find at home sometimes that remind me of how much I love my husband. I worked Saturday night and found these this morning. Looks like Nate made the boys fresh cookies while I was gone. I don't know too many men who step up in the "mom" role like he does. Our kids truly don't know how blessed they are to have a daddy who cares about the little things too.

Got a new abbreviation behind my name. Now I'm LindseyB, IP....."I'm Packing!!"

Eli & Tyler Drama of The Day: They got into a brand new pack of Oreo's and from what I can tell...23 of them are in their little tummies and on the floor. I'm totally expecting a puke-fest at any moment. (PS - I have no clue where Tyler's pants went...)

Not sure who is guilty -- but Eli and Tyler are both covered. I don't know whether to laugh, roll my eyes or be mad.
