Cookeville Gang

Like I said in the last post, we actually had the 4th of July to spend as a family too!  So we headed up to Cookeville to meet up with the gang and to celebrate Henely’s 7th birthday!  We always have a lot of fun when we get to meet up with everyone and wish that we could get together more often.  It was also really neat to get to see a girl’s birthday party!  Imagine this – she didn’t get one dinosaur or toy car!!!  I was in heaven!

We got to meet the newest member of the Shearer household and we got to visit with Garrett and his two girls, but I didn’t seem get to get any pictures of them.  After the party and some fun in the pool, we all headed to a local park for more fun.  Our crew had to leave before fireworks that night since we had so far to come back home, but we really enjoyed getting to spend this day with friends.  Erin and Mark couldn’t make it this time, but they were missed!

“Take Me Out To The Ball Game…”

This year, we celebrated the 4th of July with the Nashville Sounds again, but it was on Tuesday the 3rd!  Which left for more fun on the actual 4th!!  But this night was fun as usual.  The whole family met up and had a great time.  There was fun, laughter, food, candy, cheering, chanting, singing and of course, FIREWORKS!!!  Tyler was a little unsure about those, but he handled it like a man!  We also all got to say good-bye to Tyler Cox who left shortly after to join up with the US Navy.  I love having family traditions, and this one always makes it to the top five on my list!!
