Sheldon Sisters Night
These are some pics from about a month ago when all the sisters got together at Maggie's house in Cookeville for a slumber party. We did the typical Sheldon girls thing....stayed up late watching chick flicks, popcorn, soup, etc. And then the next morning we made breakfast and pigged out! It was a quick trip, but a fun one just the same. We kinda forgot about pics until the next morning -- which explains only pics with morning hair and no make-up! (Sorry girls!) Maybe next time we will have more pics to post ~ until then, enjoy!

Pregnant Turkey??
Kudos to mom for this one...and Gramps, you have my permission to add it to our offical blonde joke collection!
~~~~~
One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store.
When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird.
With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird! " At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry.
It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!
Gotta Love Funny Memories...With Pictures!
Today when I was going through some of the pictures on the computer, I came across these pictures of Nathan and I just had to post them! Six and a half years ago, on August 3rd - we had a party at my parent's house to paint the outside decks for our wedding the following Saturday. All of Nathan's buds from college came out, the groomsmen and the ushers (all 16 of them) along with my bridesmaids (three of which were sisters!) and we all got to painting. Well, Nathan and I were on the second floor deck talking to my parents when a wasp flew right at me. Now if you know me well at all, you know that I have a complete phobia of wasps -- in fact, most people think I'm crazy because in the spring/summer months, I carry wasp spray in my purse. Crazy I know -- but that's just me... So anyway - back to the story. This wasp, which was the biggest wasp ever, flew right up in my face -- so I did what any normal person would do -- I ducked down! The next thing I know - Nate was standing there holding his eyelid. The wasp, aiming for me, ended up hitting Nathan right in the eye!! It started to swell some so we gave him some Benadryl and sent him to the den with a bag of ice. An hour later - I went to check on him and he was no longer my beautiful fiancee -- but rather, a replica of the Hunchback of Notre Dame!! We gave it a couple more hours but the swelling continued to get worse and so Nathan and I headed to the ER. These pics I found were after Nathan had gotten a steroid shot along with a Benadryl shot. In fact, if I remember correctly, I took these pics the next morning...almost 24hrs after the initial sting -- so you can imagine how much worse he had looked! He's gonna kill me for posting these pics -- and at the time it was rather scary - but now it is a great memory! Or at least I think so!
The Mayflower Comes to Watertown
Wednesday night, Zachary's class at church put on a play about the Mayflower and the first Thanksgiving. Zachary got to play the part of a pilgrim and an indian. I didn't get to see it because I was at work, but I heard that he did a great job! Well, all of the kids did great. Kudos and a big thanks to my husband for getting the pics for me too! Great job Nate!Getting Ready For Christmas
