Our Graduate

On Friday night, May 14th, our little Zachary graduated from Little Lights Christian Preschool. The program was a blast and so adorable to watch! There was singing, dancing and awards. Zachary got a certificate for Perfect Attendance and one for Best Colorer. He also was presented with a new leather bound Bible with his name embossed on the cover, as well as his diploma. They even had the graduates move their tassles from the left side to the right....sniff, sniff!! :) After the program, everyone was invited to the cafe on the square for a reception for the graduates!! It was such a good evening. And yes, Nathan and I both shed some tears during the program -- but we couldn't be prouder! I'll get some video clips of the evening soon, until then -- here is another slide show since we took TONS of pictures! (Imagine that!!)

End of the Year PARTY!

It was a bitter sweet day as we celebrated with the end of the year party at preschool. I cannot believe that this section of little Zachary's life is over -- and now starts regular school this fall! I cannot go into depth on this issue right now because as I am updating my blog I am also trying to get caught up on house work -- and I will start balling like a baby should I go on any further... :) I don't have many pictures because I was juggling helping, serving lunch and taking care of Eli, but I did get some. Here are the pics!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day 2010

I am very proud of the picture above. I think it has turned out to be one of our best family pics -- but even more than that -- I am so proud of my family.

Nathan would bend over backwards to take care of his family and friends -- his commitment to others is nothing short of amazing. He is always striving to provide for me and the boys no matter how much sacrifice is required on his part. I have the best husband that a girl could ask for -- he is a Godly man who works so hard! I am so blessed.

Zachary is wonderful! He is such a good little boy. He too is always trying to make sure that he taking care of me and Eli. He is so sweet, loving and is always conscious of how others feel. He tries so hard to make us proud and doesn't realize yet that there is nothing that he can do to make us any prouder! He is my little buddy and one of the most important loves of my life! I don't know who I would be and where I would be without him in my life...

And Eli -- who blesses my heart more every day. He is always smiling -- even with an ear infection :) -- and loves to be held and cuddled. I can already see how he looks up to and admires Zachary. And while the thought of Zachary starting school this falls breaks my heart in ways I can't describe, I am looking forward to getting to spend some one-on-one time with Eli and really getting to focus on him and build a great relationship with him as well. He is a little blessing all wrapped up in himself!

Thank you Lord for my life and the blessings that you have provided me with....I am certain I don't deserve any of them, but I promise to always strive to be the best mother and wife that I am capable of being. And to always do so in a manner that glorifies and praises you.

Watertown USPS

Our last field trip of the year was to the USPS in Watertown. Normally after we visit the post office we eat a picnic lunch at Ms. Nell's house. However, since it was flooded during the May floods - we went back to the preschool and had a picnic lunch there. We then also enjoyed some ice cream from Lu Lu's Coffee House on the square.

The first thing we did when we arrived was to stand in front of the flag and say the Pledge of Allegiance.

This slideshow is a collection of picutres of the damage done during the floods on May 2nd. We were very fortunate not to sustain any flood damage ourselves, but we have many friends and family that lost a lot. These pictures include our current home town and church, my parents' house and the areas around my old high school.

Multiple Destinations

On one of our Field Trip days with preschool, we hit up three destinations in one round!! I'll cover the day as we make it to the pictures...

Our first stop was to visit our local pharmacy, Watertown Drugs. The pharmacist explained to the children the process of how they get their medicines when they are sick - and even let them walk to the back area of the pharmacy and check out how the medicines are stored. It was very interesting!

Eli got in on the action too -- I weighed him on an old time scale -- that actually still worked!

Yep, 23 pounds!

I jumped on the scale too -- but OBVIOUSLY didn't need a picture posted to remind me of that one! :)

Our next stop was to the local bank on the square. The kids got to visit inside the vault and the lock box room -- they were pretty excited to see money!

LUNCH at the Depot Junction Cafe!! The cafe let the kids have a pizza party there -- and they had a great time!

A special kudos goes out to all the local businesses in Watertown for always trying to make events like this day so special for our little friends! Love living in a small town!
