In case you didn't know, Nathan was actually born in Virginia Beach! And we learned before we left Tennessee that the first house he lived in was less that five miles from Ashleigh's school. So on Sunday night, my parents offered to watch to boys so that we could go find his old house and church Nathan moved to Tennessee when he was three, so he didn't recognize any of it, but we found them! When we stopped to get pictures of his church, we saw two elderly women in the parking lot. Figuring that we kind of spooked them, we got out and Nathan introduced himself and let them know what we were up to. When he told one of the ladies that he was born there almost 37 years ago and then told her his last name, she immediately knew who he was. As it turned out, this lady and her husband were his parents' Sunday School teachers while they were members there and actually helped them out a lot with Nathan and his siblings. So we talked with them for a while and it really was what they referred to as "a divine meeting!" After that, we headed out for a quick dinner with Ashleigh and Sloan.

And just so you know how the trip ended...
We got back on the plane early Monday morning, landed in Nashville and I headed straight for the pediatrician's office. (Since I couldn't bring the boys Amoxicillin home on the plane...obviously there could've been a bomb in there and so I had to pour it out!!) And it turned out....they didn't have strep at all!! They were both dealing with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease which in case you didn't know is a viral infection that cannot be treated with antibiotics and is extremely aggravated by the sun!! Yep! Of course, the rash didn't show up on their hands and feet until after we had returned to Tennessee -- which explains why they were misdiagnosed by THREE physicians!! The week only got better as Nathan was diagnosed with the Flu on Wednesday and as of yesterday has developed his own rash and sore throat -- yep, add HFMD to his plate as well!!
Needless to say...we are still in the recovery phase and are all in desperate need for a VACATION!!! :)
