And Summer Has Officially Started!

Summer fun is full of baseball games, park dates, ice cream, etc. But summer doesn't "officially" feel like it has started until we can head out to the pool! And so -- the 2010 season has started! We have a membership to a local fitness club through Nathan's work and so we usually take FULL advantage of their outdoor pool! Plus, it is only five minutes from Nathan -- so he joins us for lunch on those days! Great times!

Almost Done...

Here are some of the latest pics from the extension work!

Ah....
This wall is now ready to prime and paint!

The windows are framed up!
And here are some pics from our biggest little helpers!!

T-Ball - Take Two

Okay, in my last T-Ball post we had only experienced one game. Well, last week we had four games -- so I think we are caught up now! Zachary did great and is getting better each time. Plus, he is starting to see an improvement in himself, which is pretty neat to watch. And as you can see in this first pic -- Nathan couldn't be prouder! (Love my boys!)

Look close -- this is the "Yeah mom, I know I did good" face!

Nathan and I laughed as we got out of the car on Friday night for our second game of the week...I looked at him and said, "So this is our life now....how did we go from just me & you and trips to get icecream in the late hours to being that "ball park family" so quickly??" We wouldn't trade any of it for anything!! :)

"For It's ONE, TWO THREE Strikes You're Out..."

"...at the Old Ball GAME!!!"
~~~~~
Yep, it was another fun filled Barnes Family afternoon on Memorial Day as we traveled to Greer Stadium for a very HOT afternoon with the Nashville Sounds!! :) We had great seats right behind the first base line -- three rows back! However, due to the intense sun and heat, we moved during the fourth inning to a more shaded area! As usual there was a lot of laughs, fun and smiles! Zachary got a souvenir foul ball that the boy in front of us caught and then gave it to him...so sweet. And Eli ate his first hot dog....yes, the whole thing. Now before you go and judge me on this one -- he did take very small bites!! And he is only in the 50% on his weight! :) (I'd like to see some of you try to only give him a few bites and see what happens!!) We love going to the sounds games and will be going to more later in the summer!!
And you can't go to a game without buying some "hot-cot-candy" as Zachary still calls it!
And then there is the ever dreaded Ozzie -- who Zachary is scared to death of but insist on saying hi to him at every ball game! (Even though he knows the man in the outfit too d/t the times I've sang at the games, but once the mask goes on...it's over!) :)
Love it!
Yes, he'll take ketchup on his too, please. :)
We look great! All hot and sweaty!
And then as soon as we started home....the naps took place.
First to go was Zachary -- Strike 1
Next was Eli -- Strike 2
And then, while driving, Nate went -- Strike 3!!
Okay, just kidding on Nathan! :)
~~~~~~~~~
And then this is just a pic of my cake I took to the Memorial Day celebration with Nathan's side of the family that evening! It was a hit!
