First Sailing Adventure...

We has a blast today with our first voyage on "FlowerDays" -- that is her name, by the way! This morning started out with a clean up of the boat and some power washing. We then proceeded to perform a practice run in the front yard of getting the mast up and back down again. Once we realized that we hadn't killed ourselves, haha, we headed to the lake for our first outing. Since the wind was barely blowing enough to fill the sails, we mostly used the motor on the back of the boat to get around. However -- we had a blast learning new things, trial and error, and just relaxing on the lake. We have an over-night trip planned for next weekend -- so stay tuned for more pics!
