Family traditions...

Zachary and I have developed a new tradition these past few months -- we go on weekly dates. This all started due to the fact that I got so busy with school coming to an end, work, etc -- and I began to really miss my one-on-one time with the little man. So, we started having a weekly date night. We do various things and go to different places each week, but it is something very special to me that we have both come to enjoy. And Zachary really looks forward to...he always asks -- "what is our next date, mommy??" So...I decided to start posting them on the blog!!
~~~~~~~~
Last night was dinner, shop and a movie night! We ate at one of our favorite restaurants, Fazoli's -- Zachary loves their ravioli, or as he calls it, "rabioli!" Then, we went shopping and got him a new pair of swimming trunks and a new movie. (We've been collecting Disney and Pixar movies for quite some time now...) Then headed back home where we enjoyed popcorn, fresh cookies and milk while we watched Ratatouille. It was overall a cute movie -- however, I was very surprised that a "G" rated movie says "welcome to hell" and gets a character drunk on purpose -- my how things have changed from Bambi days. That seems to be pushing the envelope a little bit, as my dad would say. Oh well, guess we will just have to skip over those parts next time!!
~~~~~~~~
Anyway - enough blab -- here are some pics! The pool pics at the bottom are from today -- just so he can show off his new "Babin'Suit"!! (Said just like that, too!) The little girl in some of them is just one of his many friends that he has made this summer! He is always the life of the party!

Good Lord! Nasty teeth after ravioli!!
Now that is the smile that brightens up my day!
Zachary knocked over one of their signs on our way out and it hit him on the head pretty hard. After the drama, I mean trauma was over -- the manager gave Zachary a cookie....kind of as a "please don't sue us" gesture, I'm sure. Anyway, just so all you health freaks out there don't spazz out -- I didn't let him eat the whole thing...just half! :)
Here are the pool pics...obviously.

(PS -- No fat face comments either please -- the swelling is starting to come down!)
