Fall Days on the Lake

Yesterday was another fun sailing adventure...the first of many fall days spent on the lake I'm sure. Nathan, Zachary and I came down to help Dad put the boat back in the water up at Paris Landing...he took it up to our beach property in Michigan in July to sail it under the Mackinaw Bridge. We didn't get to go this year, but we cant wait for next summer to do it again! Now I don't know if any of you are sailors or not -- but to put a 28 ft MacGregor back in the lake after getting the mast up and re-rigging all the sail lines is quite a task -- but we got it up eventually. We took the boat out for a couple of hours once it was all set, had a picnic lunch on the lake and tried to swim in the FREEZING lake water -- but the winds had died down and there wasn't much sailing to be had...so we went back to the docs for some fishing fun. Mom beat us all with six fish, Nathan caught four, I caught three and Daddy and Zachary tied with one each! Zachary was more interested in feeding the ducks than the fish -- but he had fun just the same. We then went to dinner at the lodge and headed home. We decided to stay the night here again last night, thus the post during normal church hours -- but dad had the whole weekend off so we had a late breakfast this morning. Anyway -- here are more pics, or as I like to refer to them: another page for the family scrapbook!
