Wrappin' Up The Summer

Urghh....I am so behind on my blogging that it makes my head hurt!! But I am going to try and catch up with everything so that I can get current with all of the fall happenings going on! So, this next post is just a bunch of candid shots of the boys during June and July to wrap up the summer fun. Then I'll move on to August happenings... :) Let's go in order here...
~~~
Zachary, or our "Little Buddy" as we call him, enjoyed his summer very much! And in knowing that I was losing him to kindergarten this year, I really tried to spend as much "QT" with him as possible! So Zachary, Eli and I went to the pool about two to three times a week throughout the summer and added in various trips to the parks, shopping trips, and a lot of lunches with Daddy! He is doing great in Kindergarten this year - and got the best score possible on his first report card that he received! We couldn't be prouder of our little man....here are some pics. Oh, and this first one was the day we decided it was definitely time for another haircut! No, I didn't let him wear his hair like this....just for the funny picture! :)
Enjoying summer nights at the house....
Helping on the extension work...
These are some of my favorite shots from the summer. We got a slip and slide early one and had a blast with it on some of those hot summer days!! I took a ton of "high shutter speed" pictures of him running and sliding and they came out GREAT! I wish I had time to post them all....but they will look better in a flip book rather than a blog post. However, I think you get the idea of the fun!! Love his smile!!
Playing doctor...
Eli, or "Little E" as we have come to call him is such a little bundle of joy! And now that Zachary is in school every day - I am getting to take full advantage of one on one time with him now, which is such a blessing. And he is really developing his own personality too -- I didn't realize how much of "Zachary's shadow" he has always been until you get him by himself! He loves to laugh, do puzzles, sing, play the piano and snuggle. He always wants to sit in your lap and hold your hand -- which is such a "Lindsey" thing to do! :) His favorite thing to do though is still eat -- and imitate Zachary. We love him so much and wouldn't wish him any different!
Yes - he raids this cabinet weekly!
Oh - and he is a climber and a hider!! He climbs on EVERYTHING! Ladders, the dining room table, the fireplace, the TV stand, etc! And his favorite hiding places include our new shower, the dishwasher and yes - the dryer!! Dangerous, I know!
I've always known that sisters have a close bond because that is what I am used to....but I think brothers have a very unique connection that is completely different from girls! I can't wait to add another one to the mix!!
