On August 6th, we headed to the Lebanon Fairgrounds for Zachary's first scrimmage in the Lebanon Bowl. It was me, Eli, Nathan and Byron watching from the side. The game started as Zachary watched patiently from the sidelines...then suddenly, before we knew it, Watertown had the ball and Zachary was headed in as part of the offensive line. The four of us stood up and didn't say a word. Down...set....hut!! The O line stood up, hit the other team, all the kids hit the ground and the four of us started cheering like it was the super bowl!! It was Zachary's first hit in a game and we were so proud!!! They didn't really keep score during this game, it was more of a practice than anything, but I felt like a champion when we left the field. Our kids were in their practice outfits, so look for Zachary in white pants without a "W" on his helmet. My little boy is all grown up and playing some football!
