San Jose, CA

I got the opportunity to go on another travel assignment to San Jose, CA at the end of the month.  The good thing is that this was a great way to earn a hefty paycheck for our family – the bad thing is that it was over Thanksgiving.  It wasn’t an easy decision, but given that we see our extended family a lot and had just recently been with them all the week before, we decided to do it.  This trip was longer than SF in January, but it was a lot busier.  I didn’t really have a lot of time to walk around or see things, but I did go and visit an old cathedral which was next to our hotel.  It was beautiful!  The hotel was wonderful and they set up for Christmas the day before we left – which did make me very homesick.  But the work site was a blessing and I know that was of the Lord.  I got to Tango with the boys every day and Nathan sent me a picture of them on Thanksgiving before they headed to my parents, which was bitter sweet.  So all and all, I missed my four boys a lot – but I am thankful that I had the opportunity to travel again.  Plus, I had the best surprise ever waiting for me at the airport when I landed!!
