"Long ago you came to me,
a miracle of firsts:
First smiles and teeth and baby steps,
a sunbeam on the burst.
But one day you will move away
and leave to me you past,
And I will be left thinking of
a lifetime of your lasts..."

Well, today was bitter sweet as I went to Zachary's preschool for his "End of Year" party. I can't believe that his first year of preschool is already over...but in the same breath, I am so proud of how much our little boy grows and changes every day! He has learned so much this year too. He can write all of his ABC's, he knows how to write his name, he knows all his colors/shapes/numbers and how to draw them. He knows his address, his parents' names, his birthday, how to count to fifty, etc. (And a lot of this he knows in English and Spanish) While a lot of this he knew before preschool started -- the writing part has really impressed me!

Anyway, back to the party! We weren't sure if the weather was gonna hold out for all the outdoor activities planned -- but it turned out to be a great afternoon. And as an added bonus, Nathan surprised us both by coming out to the party during his lunch hour!! (Which ended up being longer than an hour...oops!) We were both very excited to see him and I am so glad that Nate got to experience some of today with Zachary. Their graduation is on Saturday and Zachary is performing in the program (he doesn't graduate until next May) -- so check back for more pics next week. Until then, enjoy and have a BLESSED day!
