Gardening...Going Great!

As June began, I must admit that I was super proud of myself! My garden was growing great -- and despite a newborn in the house, I was able to keep up with the weeding and the general care of it all! And the first time we actually got to eat some of the produce that WE GREW...it was pretty neat! And then, the unthinkable happened...but that is for a later post. For now -- here are the "Happy Days" pictures of the garden!

My green beans were BEAUTIFUL!

My tomato, cabbage and pepper plants...

One little squash...super proud of myself!

These are my zucchini and squash plants...they got to be so big!

And my blackberries!

Working the garden.

And this is how I got to do it....Tyler loves the outdoors. So I would go out in the evening when it wasn't too hot, used Zachary's baseball net to make some shade - and there you go!

And Little E got in on the action too!

Grandaddy kept us motivated too! He has all kinds of secrets to gardening!

This little guys was hiding under a leaf...so he got pretty big! But he made some GREAT zucchini bread!

Building up the potatoes.

After picking a few blackberries -- I quickly learned why they cost so much at the grocery store! Those little prickles hurt!

Our first pickins of the harvest! :)
