Adventure Science Center

On December 9th, we ventured out on our first Kindergarten field trip with Zachary! We went to the Adventure Science Center in Murfreesboro and learned all about how the different countries around the world celebrate the Christmas season. I was very shocked however at how "Non-Politically-Correct" they were in sharing the Christmas story. There wasn't a lot of "Some celebrate Christmas because...." but rather, "Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus...." So I was very thankful for that fact! The kids got to travel around to different centers to hear about each country's Christmas traditions, taste their foods and see their trees, etc. They also got to see a real Peace Dove and make one of their own. And then when the learning was over, it was free time to play! Which was a big hit!! Eli did good on the field trip too. There were a lot of fun activities of his age group to get into -- although I think his favorite part was following "Za" around and mimicking his every move. ADORABLE!

Ah the slide...this was a huge hit with the kids!
Ms. Dana was brave and took Eli down the slide! Although I'm not sure who had more fun, him or her!! :)

Making the Peace Doves...

This is the old school firetruck that also had helmets, jackets, boots, etc. This kids couldn't get enough of this center!!
