Okay -- so this past weekend we headed out for a short family vacation to Virginia Beach to get some much needed time away and to see Ashleigh graduate from Law School. AND IT WAS A DISASTER!! :) The boys got sick, and we got to spend a lot of time in a pediatric clinic, in an ER and in the parking lot of a couple of pharmacies!! I spent a total of 30 minutes at the beach and didn't even get to see Ashleigh graduate!! Argh....I'll explain more as we get to each section of the trip!
This first part was before everything went downhill -- so here was the trip there. This was they boys' first time flying and they really did a great job. We had them loaded up with snacks, movies, books and games. We were ready to go!! We got to the airport extra early and was doing great! Until Nathan made it back to the airport from parking the car and then realized that we forgot to check the carseats! So he had to shuttle back to the parking lot, then stand in the longest line ever to turn the car seats in and then we had to RUN, RUN, RUN to the terminal!! We made it but barely! We were the LAST ONES one the plane!! :) We probably should've realized then that there was more bad luck to come! But the flight went great and Zachary even got to sit in the cock-pit when we had our layover in Florida.
