Pumpkin Patch & Paintin' Time

Alright - so we picked out the pumpkins after Oktoberfest, but didn't get to paint them until a week later...but I grouped these pics together since they go hand in hand. Now if you ever paint a pumpkin with us - there is one rule you have to follow -- no scary faces! (per Zachary) The pumpkins have to be "funny and nice"...he doesn't do scary, I guess he gets that from his mom! :) Anyway - we all had a lot of fun ~ Zachary and I got right to it while Nathan sat there thinking for the longest - he would call it "getting together his game plan!" I guess he can say that since he is the only real artist in the family! After we (me and Zachary) were finished, we cleaned up everything and set ours out to dry. Half an hour later Nathan's pumpkin was done...can we say OCD? (I love you Nate!) Anyway - as you'll learn in the pics that "paint in moderation" means absolutely NOTHING to a three year old!
(Notice the "I don't feel good" face.)

Now this is before the excess paint - it really looked good!

Here is Nathan...still thinking...

My pumpkin had a face for each one of us...here is Nathan -- purple for TTU and I think it resembles him quite well! :)
Me
Zachary
And the baby -- which Zachary is referring to as the "black baby" due to the ultrasound pics -- not politically correct, but hey - he is still three!
Here comes the excess paint job.

Nathan is still working on his -- all alone.
Oh and hey mom - notice my table...this was from your wonderful dog who "doesn't tear up anything if left in the house...I promise..." Three words: That's dog crap! :)
Nathan's finished product.
