First Sail of 2009

Saturday was the first sailing adventure of the season for us. Mom and Dad have taken the boat out already this year, but we haven't been able to go until this past weekend. We had a blast, as usual. Mom kept Eli and Nathan had to do some work at home - so it was just me and the little man with Dad and Uncle Ben! Zachary sailed the boat like a champ -- and PeePaw did okay too! :) The winds were actually very nice - escpecially in the late evening hours. The picutre below with the bridge in the background was taken so you could get an idea of how much the sail boat was tipping -- it was very Yar! :) Anyway - we took the boat out of the water and got the mast down at the end of the day so that we could enjoy her in Michigan next month. I am so excited to get to sail her out on the Great Lakes -- talk about some windy days! Whoo-hoo...can't wait!

Showing off PeePaw's hats...so attractive! :)
The water really wasn't too bad.

Someone was a little worn out by the end of the day...
