Here are just a few quick pictures of Zachary and Eli. I'll work on getting better pics of Eli on here...I've just had my hands full here these past few weeks...imagine that!
~~~
Here are my boys...just "chillin' on the couch" as Zachary would say!
Setting:
I told Zachary to watch Eli while I took a shower...Eli was in his swing. I told him that if he started crying to put MrBinx (that is what we call his binky) back in his mouth and I would get him when I got out. So, less than 45 seconds later, Zachary comes in the bathroom and says,
"Mommy - you gotta get out of the shower. Eli keeps crying and its just, oh - its just WEARING ME OUT!!"
Setting:
Sunday school this past Sunday was all about obeying your mom and dad. Zachary decides to tell the class and his teacher - which is my mother-in-law --
"Yeah, and if you don't obey your mom she'll say "Zachary, you're irritatin' me!"
Setting:
In reference to a car trying to pass us on the highway...
"Oh mom - this is bad! This is bad! I mean, this is about to get UGLY!"
Setting:
In reference to Nathan telling Zachary to get out of the pool because it is time for dinner. Note: this was him mouthing off to himself, not to us...we were listening from the kitchen window trying to stop laughing before he came inside so that we could correct him!
"Man! This is so frusteratin'! Get out of the pool...oh, this is just the worst day of my life!"
Setting:
Zachary got to sit in the front seat the other day and was trying to calm Eli down who was crying from the back seat...in the most sincere four year old voice he says...
"Its okay Eli. I know....I know buddy. It's just not fair to sit in the back seat all by yourself....I know...hang in there..."
And, last one I'll share at this point...Setting:
We went to Mt Juliet the other day to go shopping. I told Zachary when I was getting ready that morning that as long as Eli wasn't crying and pitching a fit, we could go into Books-A-Million to play with the trains. Zachary walked out of the bathroom and I heard him talking. Since I couldn't understand him very well, I walked to the living room thinking he was talking to me but found him talking to Eli...this is what he said:
"Now Eli, did you understand me? If you cry today you will get a BIG SPANKING - so I wouldn't cry!"
~There you go...a small glimpse into the conversations I get to have on a daily...no, hourly basis!
